Yes you can.
GST/HST is not chargeable on residential units. However, it is chargeable on commercial rents, and on other business activities that you might also have.
Recording GST/HST is turned off by default. To activate it for specific rental units, simply update the unit’s information on the View Unit page, where you will find a checkbox to mark the unit as GST registered. When you then enter a rent payment received you can also track the GST/HST paid.
When you enter a new expense you can turn on the GST and PST inputs and enter the appropriate amounts.
In the accounting reports you can the produce a GST report.
If you are in a province that uses HST instead of GST and PST, simply use the GST inputs and ignore the PST inputs.
